Privacy
We collect as little information as we reasonably can. This page explains what the Changing Orbit website currently collects, why we collect it, and which services help us operate the site.

Website analytics
We use PostHog to understand basic website use, such as which public pages are visited and which broad campaign or referral source brought someone to the site. Our current configuration disables session recording, automatic click capture, browser persistence, and automatic page-view capture. We do not send newsletter email addresses to PostHog.
Orbit Notes
If you choose to join Orbit Notes, we send the email address you provide to Kit, our email service provider. Kit is the canonical system for subscription status, consent, delivery, unsubscribe status, and newsletter engagement available through that service. We also retain limited source information so we can understand where a signup came from.
You can unsubscribe using the link included in our emails. Unsubscribed or suppressed records may be retained when needed to honor your opt-out and maintain consent history.
Content and hosting services
Our website is hosted through Vercel, and public images and editorial content may be delivered through Sanity. Those providers may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver the site, such as IP address, request metadata, device information, and server logs, subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
Video and external links
Some pages may include YouTube video embeds. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed domain when available. YouTube and other third-party websites may receive technical information when their content loads or when you follow a link to their service. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not use purchased demographic profiles, hidden enrichment services, session replay, or advertising-oriented behavioral profiling on this site. We do not automatically subscribe someone to Orbit Notes merely because they contact us.
Your choices
You may choose not to join Orbit Notes, may unsubscribe at any time, and may contact us with questions about information you have provided to Changing Orbit.
